I'm Gen X and I love face-to-face communication, both one-on-one and in groups, so I can connect with people. However, when I'm not with people in person, I prefer written communication (i.e. email). This for me is easier and faster than a phone call, which may interrupt what I'm doing, or a voicemail, which takes time to access.
